At Artesa, our philosophy is to work harmoniously and sustainably with nature to achieve the fruit driven, balanced flavors in our wines. Our Estate Vineyard is set in the steep foothills that straddle the Carneros and Mt. Veeder AVAs. An ideal mix of topography and a cool, coastal climate make our location among the most prized Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vineyards in California. We grow our grapes at elevations between 100 and 500 feet above sea level, on rocky slopes of sandstone, limestone, and gravelly loam, that yield small, intensely flavored grape clusters.
