ACORN Winery

The Nachbaurs bought the 32-acre property that became Alegría Vineyards in 1990 as the foundation of their vineyard-centric ACORN Winery. All ACORN wines are field blends, made from grapes grown in their certified sustainable vineyards, where multiple varieties grow together and are co-fermented.

Located in Sonoma Russian River Valley, the oldest vines were planted in 1890 as a Zinfandel field blend interplanted with 17 other varieties. That inspired Bill to plant new field blends on the adjacent acreage. ACORN’s first wine was their 1994 field-blend Sangiovese. 2022 was their 33rd harvest.
