Longboard Chardonnay Russian River Valley Rochioli Vineyard 2021

This wine is hands off as it can get. Picked by hand at 3 AM, whole-cluster pressed into a mix of new and old French oak barrels and allowed to ferment with our "resident" yeast that lives in the cellar walls and in the air. Post fermentation, we did bâtonnage for 5 months and then let the wine settle, racking it twice and bottling it without fining or filtration in September 2022.

Showing apple, lime and custard nuances when young this wine is blessed with great acidity that makes it a great candidate for ageing. Our style is defined by thoughtful balance and layered elegance.
