Bien Nacido Estate Chardonnay 2019

Hand harvested at night, and whole cluster pressed. It was then barrel fermented with native yeast and malolactic fermentations. Aging was sur lie for 16 months in French oak; 25% new. This wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered. Chamomile and cut straw are the dominant aromas alongside a subtle toasted almond character and white peach. On the palate, bright citrus balances beautifully with richness and complexity coming from the old vines. We expect this wine will age gracefully for ten years and beyond.
